Pretty good food. Not the absolute best I've ever had but still pretty good.
Staff was wonderful. My family and I ordered 2 phos, one children's lo mein, one children's corn dogs, and one children's sweet and sour chicken. We had dumplings and spring rolls for apps.
I ordered the "General". It was delicious! Presentation of food is always on point. No matter how many times I may order the same thing from their menu...it is ALWAYS consistent, hot, and most importantly---DELICIOUS!The staff is very attentive and very nice. We love, love this place! Wish we had this place out here in Annaville.
Very pleasantly surprised. Didn't look like much from the outside, but the food was good and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
After moving down to the coastal bend 3 years ago, I have had to lower my standards on good Asian food. My husband is Vietnamese and I know good Asian food. But this place was a pleasant surprise. I had Fernando's Special and it was really good. I wish it had more sauce, but it was good. The spring rolls were great, but the egg rolls weren't good at all. Very mushy inside. The Pho was also pretty bland. My husband and daughter had the rice dishes and really enjoyed the beef, chicken and shrimp. Will definitely stop by again when we are nearby and will just skip the pho and egg rolls.
Food is really good and the service was even better. I found my new place when I want Asian cuisine.
Big plates and very tasty cuisine. Wait staff is very attentive. Great dining experience
Very good food, fast friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere.
Great food and clean facilities!
Great place to get a tasteful meal . Ordered the Fernando special this time and it was quite a delightful experience of the tastebuds
Very busy for 12:30. But excellent service. Ordered the All Star Combo. I would recommend it. Good lunch and back to work on time. Very reasonable prices as well.
HuDat is amazing! We go once a week. I highly recommend it all the time.
Best takeout I've had since moving to the area. Servings are incredibly generous! I was pleasantly surprised with the large size of the shrimp spring rolls! I also appreciate that their spicy plates have a genuine kick to them too! None of my local takeout spots in Austin had the quality, flavor, and quantity they have at Hu-Dat! I'll be back for more!
I highly suggest this place if you are vegan or pescatarian, or if you eat whatever, the service is perfect, the food is awesome, and when I go to other places to look for vegan food, they usually just have salad. I don’t even like salad. Trust me this is the place to go
I like to get take out and the ladies are fast and friendly, even if you go a few minutes before they close. The food is really good, I especially enjoyed the pho and soups.
The food was good as usual. We had the C3 with a few substitutions that they got correct, which is awesome. But we did have a new hire server so our wait time to be greeted after sitting down was a bit longer than usual. Other than that, she was nice.
I love the food im glad I visit here (my first time) would recommend
This is the best place for some pho 🍲 And their egg rolls are so good!! We love us some Hu Dat!! Def give them a call! Trust me.
Messy food and people were asking Hu dat guy in the corner making messes
Name is misspelled it is Melton, we go out of town alot. Always eat at Hu Dat-Portland love the food.
Was there and over heard a woman yelling at workers sounded really disrespectful not returning
I've tried lots of different menu items, everything has tasted very good. The broth from the pho was nice and clear, very flavorful. I think there needs to be more shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. The drunken noodles are really good. The portion sizes are comparable to other Asian restaurants. We always have enough for left overs. It's the best Asian food in Portland. They serve Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, I dont believe they serve bahn mi, but I havent asked. The fried egg rolls are the little Vietnamese style, not Chinese style. It can be pricey if you are feeding more than 2 people.
Where friends and co workers meet for a great lunch. Yummy!!!
The food is always so fresh and made so great I’ve never had a bad order!
Good service, good food, friendly staff.
Very poor service Rude staffLong wait timesAverage-poor food quality. I unfortunately visited this establishment and had a bad experience with them, it was horrific from the moment I placed my order until I threw the plastic container away. Don’t bother going here unless you like waiting a long time, staff being rude to you or mushy yellow broccoli.
Great service, friendly workers and delicious food!
The food here is very good Dinner portions are massive! i love their wanton soup very friendly Go in Hungry !
Stopped by on an impromptu trip to town. We were surprised by how large the portions were. The service was nice and the food was delicious. It's a small, cozy, casual place & easy to find! We'll certainly stop by next time we're in town & hungry for Asian food!!
Great service. I ordered the Xao Pho with Beef. The beef was suggested by server. Had a great flavor. The noodles were a little overcooked (mushy) but still edible. Overall the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail was a wonderful experience. (4 stars because of noodles)
Usually we rave about this place. We always get the Happy Family. Today the chicken was cold and dry. We will be back again because of the many times we have eatten there and had great meals. Service was excellent as always
One of my favorite places try the bun supreme.
I've never had anything bad here. Their orange chicken isn't quite what is normally seen (more like sweet and sour chicken with orange sauce on the side) but man is it good! The orange sauce is tangy and warm. Super yummy! Really good egg rolls and soup.Always kind service and clean restaurant!
Ate here tonight for the first time. Service was prompt and professional. The food was very tasty, and the portions were enormous. Priced reasonably. Used the ladies room and it was spotless and the best smelling public bathroom I’ve ever used- that shows integrity! A+
They refuse to answer the phone during lunch hour for carry out orders. When I've been to the restaurant - like most places in this Portland - Gregory - Ingleside area - they're overpriced, understaffed, and of moderate quality. The food is on par with your average oriental. It's good but you have to get past the less than acceptable service. Businesses do well around here because of lack of options, not because of competition. Perhaps they will answer the phone for the next potential customer.
This is our "go to" restaurant in Portland for fresh delicious food and excellent service! Our favorites are the Bun Combo and the Fernando Special!
The food was very good. I ordered the General’s Chicken; the portion size was generous and enough for two meals. I like that it’s not deep-fried like most so it’s great for anyone looking to cut back on the fried stuff. Definitely worth a return visit next time I’m in town.
Tasty food made to order. My big beef is waitress putting steaming hot bowl of lomein in front of 3 year old grand. I have found a lot of places do this. While it is great food is hot, the age of the eater should dictate that hot dishes be given to grownup first to cool down.
Great food. Great service
Your food is GREAT!!! You rock, Portland!!Not all HU DATs are created equal. = ) THANK YOU!!
The food was good. The Won Tom was the best I had. Everything tasted good. It was busy because the food is delicious. I highly recommend them.
Delicious. The Bun Supreme is outstanding. And the spring rolls.
Had to get it to go. The atmosphere was so inviting, have to say everything I ordered was of excellent quality and freshness. You are getting what you pay for. And the price is right. Perfect for a meal out with the family and or friends. It's a must go whenever you're in Portland.
We ordered takeout because my baby son didn't have a clean bottle along, but next time we will be dining in. The food is excellent! I had Orange Chicken and my wife had Kung Pow Chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had put my chicken and the sauce in separate containers so the chicken wouldn't get soggy on the ride home. This nice attention to detail made for a great takeout dining experience. However, my wife's order was meant to be without the chestnuts but with the peanuts. I suppose there was a mix up because there were no nuts to be found at all. She still enjoyed the meal and agreed that we will be patronizing this restaurant over other Chinese+ restaurants in the area. 5 stars: WILL go again!
The wait for take-out is 45 minutes on the average, but the food is great! HU DAT is my wife's favorite new restaurant, and I am pretty impressed too.
Love restaurant is very clean and all the waitresses are friendly.
Egg drop soup, excellent, sweet and sour chicken, excellent,. White good, service charming and attentive
The food here is consistently good. The prices are great, they have an attentive and friendly staff and it is very clean. Everything you would want in a restaurant. I also love that it is family owned and not a chain.
BUN SUPREME!! My first time trying was awsome sadly my wife ordered it so was a tease. When I go back to Corpus I'll definitely visit again and get a bun bowl forsure! I grabbed the sesame chicken was very good aswell but thw bun was something new. Very clean and great staff. I definitely recommend!
Good service and food - could be a little cleaner.
